Property Description
West Park Mall is a newly renovated single storey enclosed shopping
centre comprised of 109,768 square feet of gross leaseable area and is
anchored by Save-on-foods, Fields, and a newly opened Sears store. It
has 24 commercial retail units and a major renovation recently converted
a 27,953 square foot single tenancy into a 19,953 square foot multi-tenant
strip.
Recent Developments
As previously mentioned West Park Mall has gone through a renovation
of approximately 30% of the GLA at the cost of almost $1 million. This
redevelopment quadrupled the value of the mall and is expected to reposition
West Park Mall as the dominant retailing centre in the community.
The focus of the redevelopment was to provide attractive, highly visible
commercial retail units in order to attract well known national tenants
such as Sears, Starbucks or Tim Hortons, SportMart or like tenant, and/or
more fashion based tenants. It is also to act as a catalyst for further
high value leasing as described by the mission statement.
Evidence of the immediate success of the redevelopment has been demonstrated
by the recently executed leases to Sears, Warehouse One, Factory Direct
Furnitre, and Movie Gallery.
