The mission of West Park Mall is to be the dominant enclosed shopping centre in the region of Quesnel including a strong external presence of nationally branded tenants and a strong internal tenant mix of local community based boutique shops to encourage and attract local customer support.

Market Description

The city of Quesnel is located in the centre of B.C.’s Cariboo country and is easily accessible from all major cities by road, rail, and air. It has a market area population of approximately 27,000 people and is a one hour drive south of Prince George whose market area population is approximately 100,000. An hour’s drive to the south of Quesnel is Williams Lake; their market area population is approximately 19,720.

Population distribution statistics reveal that Quesnel is a family-oriented community. The majority of the population (62.5 %) is married and has children. Households in the immediate or primary trade area total 11,241. The average household income is $28,652. As BC has one of the highest average wages in the country, Quesnel also compares favourably on a national scale. Projections for household income increases are estimated at approximately 3-5% over the next few years. Of children living at home, those aged 5–14 comprise the largest age cohort.
